Position: Part-time (Afternoons)
Location: Clare, Michigan
Wage: $15.95 per hour

Description: We are seeking Direct Care and In-Home Help Workers at Listening Ear. If you want to impact the life of someone that will appreciate your talents and time this is the job for you!

Responsibilities:

• Provide care and support to consumers on a 24/7 basis.
• Daily supervision and support in all activities of daily living, including preparing meals, assisting with eating meals, personal care, bathing, dressing, restroom assistance, transferring, transporting to daily activities and medical appointments.
• Capable of handling emergency situations, including physical intervention, if needed.
• Promote a culture of gentleness/trauma informed care.
• Develop a mutually respectful partnership with consumers and families, where they can gain skills and confidence to grow and change.
• Be an advocate for all consumers.

Requirements:

• You must be at least 18 years old to be considered for the position.
• No prior experience necessary
• Good physical health (regular lifting of 50lbs)
• Must pass all necessary training (provided by Listening Ear) and exams required, including criminal background check.
• Michigan Driver’s License
